Jailbreaking No More . .

A Federal ruling has made it so that developers can now legally hack the iPhone and develop apps themselves without fear of reprisals, now that the U.S. copywright office has finally decided.

The U.S. copyright office issued exemptions to a copyright law, giving legal protection for people who unlock their smartphones like Apple Inc’s iPhone, or other phones including Android Phones (which is already an open operating system and is what we here at peepshow watch encourage in terms of open source devices), Motorola operating systems, Google, or any other phone maker now or in the future (as of today’s ruling at least).

Changing operators’ fixed phone settings has become widely popular around the world since the 2007 introduction of Apple’s i Phone. It has been labeled as jailbreaking when you open up the apple i-phone OS and develop yourself without the need for Apple (big brother??)

The move by the copyright office to give exemptions to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), will undermine handset makers like Apple’s ability to control the installation of software programs on their phones.

The Library of Congress, which can define exceptions to existing copyright laws, has ruled that a user can circumvent the phone’s functionality to use any legally obtained software. The ruling also allows users to finally change their wireless provider from AT&T Inc which was give the sole rights in the USA another scam and an attempt by Apple to control everything about it’s precious iphone. Suck it Apple!

Recently video overlays, banners, and other obtrusive ad units have popped up Justin.tv. Now I have no problem with ads for free content, but some of these ads are very heavy, and it slows down your computer, I know it did mine.

Also 60 second commercials overlay over your video are a bit much JUSTIN.TV. You should think about scaling that down!
